Anti-Inflammatory Oils to Have &
A Bonus Recipe

There is so much to learn about the anti-inflammatory way. It’s multi-faceted and can get complicated quickly on what to be eating and avoiding. Here are the top anti-inflammatory oils to be including into your diet. And remember, fats don’t make you fat. Our body and brain needs fat to thrive. It’s just a matter of getting the right type of quality fat. Here are my top 3 anti-inflammatory oils to be having in your meal rotation.

  1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is a go-to in my house. It’s certainly my primary oil of choice. It tastes delicious and adds great flavor to all dishes. It’s high in omega-3 fatty acids, high in antioxidants, and great for heart health.
  2. Avocado Oil. This one is low in unsaturated fats and has some great anti-inflammatory properties. It is lighter in flavor and great for cooking with veggies or any lean protein dish. It’s also high in lutein and great for eye health. And we can’t forget how great it is for our skin.

  1. Coconut Oil. Love the flavor that coconut oil provides any meal and love even more all the anti-inflammatory properties it offers. It’s high in lauric acid which has many anti-inflammatory benefits.

In my newest recipe, “Christi’s Coleslaw”, I used Primal Kitchen’s avocado based mayonnaise. Most mayos out there contain soybean oil which is highly inflammatory. I would encourage you to avoid these types of mayonnaise. Check out this week’s recipe below. It goes perfectly with my newest Nourish UP Club recipe – Pork BBQ in a Honey BBQ sauce.
