Strawberry Coconut Smoothie

It’s officially SMOOTHIE season! Ok, so I do tend to enjoy my smoothies all year long but having them in the Spring and Summer is definitely more enticing. Smoothie ingredient options really go to infinity and beyond. So much opportunity to pack in amazing nutrition into each one. There are exceptional adaptogen powders to help with vitality, organic green powders to give you a daily nutrition boost, plus all the fantastic ways of adding more fiber and protein to keep you full for hours.

Smoothies are my weekly Monday through Friday “go-to” mid-day meal. They tend to be my first meal of the day with Intermittent Fasting. When you do them with the right amount of protein, fat, and fiber – they can keep you full for up to 5 hours. On days where I need an extra little bump in energy, I will add some organic spinach or kale to them.

This Strawberry Coconut Smoothie is a bit indulgent tasting yet packed with antioxidants, healthy fats, Vitamin C, fiber, and protein. Feel free to sprinkle a teaspoon of shredded coconut on top or some cacao nibs for a chocolatey flavor.
