Is it Cauliflower? Is it Brocoletti? – No!

It’s CAULETTI!!!

I was shopping the produce department at Wegman’s and came across this unusual looking veggie. I was intrigued and once I am intrigued, I am ready to learn more! So I purchased a bag of cauletti and brought it home with me and could not wait to put it to the Coach Christi test!

It came in a bag like this…

It looked like it could use some roasting so I added some simple & clean flavor enhancers and boom – lemon roasted cauletti was born! You know I love simple & clean and this even cooked up fast. Minimal ingredients that include lemon zest, garlic, olive oil, himalayan sea salt, and some crushed red pepper for added kick.

It had just the perfect texture at 15 minutes in the oven. A nice crunch with the perfect texture and flavor.

Excited to continue experimenting with cauletti – oh – so many possibilities. Psyched about the anti-inflammatory properties and dense nutrition too! I may just have found my new fav cruciferous vegetable! Find it at your local market or grocery store.

P.S. Cauletti also can go by the name Caulilini….
