FINALLY………..
My Best Gluten & Dairy Free Brownies! YAAAAYYYYYY!
I have been trying and trying on these – not an easy recipe to nail down, that is for certain. Especially when aiming for gluten and dairy free. These are definitely the best I have come up with thus far!
One modification I made from the last test batch was the sugar. The last batch called for ¾ cup coconut sugar and ½ cup brown sugar. I could literally feel the sugar pulsing through my body. Um, very icky feeling so for this recipe I used a sugar alternative – Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener – Golden variety (part Erythritol and part Monkfruit) in place of regular brown sugar. The flavor was not altered whatsoever! Only difference is the texture. This time they are a bit more cake-like. But still moist and delish without the pulsating feature. LOL
I will leave the type of sugar used up to you! I aim for minimal sugar due to its inflammatory effects. I literally feel the sugar!
As much as I love eating clean, I do have human moments of craving a decadent sweet treat. I have always had a sweet tooth. Modifications are crucial to rule out any type of deprivation!
